THE CHALLENGE
Most people operating at a high level don’t struggle because they lack ability.
They’re capable, experienced and used to delivering. What tends to get in the way is less obvious.
You keep moving because that’s what’s always worked — dealing with what’s in front of you, making decisions and carrying responsibility without making a noise about it. From the outside everything looks as it should.
Underneath that, something shifts and decisions start to feel heavier than they need to be. Not because they’re unclear, more that you’re carrying too much into them and second-guessing moments that would normally feel straightforward.
It’s not a lack of effort or intent. You don’t always get the space to step back and see things for what they are.
I understand, because I’ve lived it.


WORKING TOGETHER
Performance under pressure doesn’t just suddenly become easier, what does change is how you operate in those moments when you start approaching things differently.
The people I work with are already capable, so this isn’t about motivation. It’s about understanding what’s getting in the way and dealing with it properly, without overthinking decisions or circling the same issues.
Most come with a lot on their mind — conversations they’ve been putting off, decisions that haven’t moved or just too much going on to properly step back and look at things clearly.
This isn’t about instruction or technical coaching. We deal with what’s in front of you and things tend to move fairly quickly from there.
Sessions can take place one-to-one, within a business setting or outdoors where it helps create the right environment.
The focus remains the same — clearer thinking, better decisions and stronger performance when it matters.
ABOUT ME
I bring over four decades of experience across business and sport — from apprentice to boardroom, across print, advertising, entrepreneurship and performance environments.
Alongside this, I’ve spent many years in sport — both in football as an FA Youth coach and in boxing as an experienced England Boxing coach.
That mix of business, sport and lived experience has shaped how I see performance — what supports it, what gets in the way and how people respond when pressure is on.
I work with people who carry responsibility, whether in business, sport or leadership roles.
Much of the work is about creating the space for honest conversations — the kind that allow people to step back, see situations more clearly and move forward with confidence.
Alongside this, I founded Active Shift — a free weekly 'walk and talk' bringing men together for movement, conversation and a space to think, without judgement (@activeshiftuk).

Whether that’s walking or working outdoors where movement is part of it, the focus remains the same.
It creates space to step back, look at things properly and work through what’s actually going on without the noise that often comes with being indoors.
There’s no pressure to perform and nothing forced.

I work with business owners, leadership teams and individuals to improve how decisions are made, how conversations are handled and how people perform when it matters.
